This albumen photograph, 11” x 14-1/2” mounted to a larger mount, stages the Appomattox surrender with the cigar smoking Grant of the left in full uniform, sword drawn. The hatless Lee is shown, head bowed, reading the terms. Fascinating fantasy item. Photograph id slightly light, minor damage to mount on the upper right not affecting the albumen.
