Newspaper, The Gentleman's Magazine," London, May 1778, 44pp., disbound. A very nice Revolutionary War era magazine from the "mother country" with a wide range of varied content including news of the day, political reports, literary items, and other unusual tidbits. Most importantly, from the interior, a copper engraved foldout, 10" x 8," identified as the "View of the Jews Synagogue at Amsterdam." Also, several pages regarding Burgoyne's return after his defeat at Saratoga. VG.
