The original die to the reverse of the white metal medallion for Horace Greely's 1872 presidential campaign, listed as Sullivan-Dewitt HG 1872-4, measuring 28mm. This die has the 28mm section inscribed in reverse "LIBERAL REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES" with large cylinder 45mm long. Fine condition. An unusual campaign relic.
