A great partly-printed war-date Connecticut officer's commission February 7, 1863 promoting 2nd Lt. Charles Doyle to captain of Company K. Signed and made official by Connecticut's Governor WILLIAM P. BUCKINGHAM. After being captured during the battle of Cedar Mountain in August 1862. He was paroled a month later and served until Nov. 1864 when he was discharged. VG
