A good war-date Union regiment's worn equipment document for the 69th Penn. Vol. July 8, 1863 issued immediately following the battle of Gettysburg at Frederick, Maryland. The 69th held the center of the Union line at Gettysburg and the regiment was positioned along that wall, at the Angle, where Confederate General Armistead and his men pierced the Union lines. In this document the 69th turns over two worn out horses who undoubtedly were run into the ground helping to save the Union. A fine piece for any Gettysburg collection. Fine.
