Clipped Signature, 2" x ¾", reading "and respectfully A McD McCook Maj Genl Vols." Stains, else good. McCook, a career officer and Civil War corps commander, came from an Ohio family known as the "Fighting McCooks." Seven of his brothers fought in the war, three of whom were fellow generals.
