CDV showing the hero of Mobile Bay in a half-length uniformed portrait, the mount's back imprinted with identification of the subject. Farragut's naval career began as a midshipman in 1810 and only ended with his life some sixty years later. This CDV has overall browning, an uneven left edge, and damp stains to verso not affecting the image. Good condition.
