Broadside, “Read and Hand Around, The Eye, Dr. J.A. Newton, Sugeon Oculist, Booneville, Indiana,” 12-1/2” x 24-1/2,” c1872. Nice graphic advertising broadside, uses an engraving of an eye at the top, vertical text on the borders, and variable type sizes. The lower half, under “Testimonials,” presents 24 statements of eye cure. The item has minor paper loss on right/left margins, three very small holes but retains a strong overall appearance. Dr. Newton practiced in the area from 1860-1881.
