A complete and authentic issue of the Massachusetts Mercury, Boston, August 16, 1799, 4pp., VG. From the interior, a brief report, “A Duel, Last Saturday morning Captain Robinson who superintends the frigate with merchants ... and Mr. Richard Dennison of New Brunswick had a meeting on the Jersey shore ... The gentlemen in exchanging first shots were both wounded in the head. Capt. Robinson received a ball a little above the left eye and is dangerously ill. Mr. D. was slightly wounded.”
