Booklet, “Sermon Preached at Plymouth, (New England), A.D. 1621., Boston: T.G. Bangs, Printer, 1815. 30pp. Printed self-wrappers, stitched. Early ink inscription on titlepage. Light soiling, else very good. This historical sermon, "Wherein is shewed the danger of self-love and the sweetnesse of true Friendship" (from the original title), was reprinted several times during the 19th century. The present volume is the first reprinting of the 1800's and the second overall. Thomas G. Bangs published the work with help from his son Samuel, later the first printer in Texas, who finished his apprenticeship in 1816. SABIN 18134. SHAW & SHOEMAKER 34501, 35902.
