From the interior under a column headline “The Kuk-Klux Klan,” is a 1-1/4 column report of Klan activity. In small part, “Murder of a Radical - Supposed by the Kuk-Klux” reports of the shooting of George W. Ashburn in Columbus Georgia. Then several additional outrages, “murder of a freedman with a bowie; beating of a loyal man in Alabama; driving off another radical in Nashville ...”
