Manuscript document, 5pp., legal sheets, Gonzales County, Texas, July 30, 1861. J. P. King contests April judgment of $383.41 awarded to J. J. Hodges stating "The court erred in rendering Judgment in time of War while the ports are blockaded and no cotton can be sold or money had at any rate of interest." The last page is embossed with the Seal of Texas. Fine condition.
