War-date civilian letter by Anna Harnage, one page, 8vo, Clinch County, Georgia, June 8, 1863, to sons George and Jeremiah, likely in Virginia as Jeremiah would die of disease in Richmond a week later. She writes, in part, "…I hear there is an act passed that all the sick and wounded that is not able for duty is to be sent home to stay until they git well so I want you and all the rest of the boys to try to come home…," oddly, the sons are named under their mother's signature. Very good.
