Confederate partially printed Treasury Department letter, Second Auditor's Office one page, 4to, Richmond, Virginia, July 23, 1864, with postal cover having CSA #11 stamp tied by a Richmond cds, to J. H. Spoon, Laurens C. H., South Carolina, the recipient being the administrator for the estate of deceased Private M. B. Graves, Co. "D," Charleston Battery, South Carolina Volunteers. Here the Department acknowledges Spoon's request for back pay due to Graves's estate. Moderate foxing, but sound paper, very good condition.
