Partially printed document, "Form No. 21," signed twice "L. P. Grant Capt Engrs, one page with docketing panel on back, 4to, Augusta, Georgia, November 1, 1864, a voucher covering rent and firewood for the month of October. The signatory, born in Maine, was employed by the Georgia Railroad in 1840 and continued to work for the state's transportation interests through the Civil War and into Reconstruction. Fine condition.
