Signed "LMC," 2pp., 8vo, likely West Virginia, April 4, 1864, with hand-carried cover addressed to "Mr. Charles M. Milleson, Co. C. 18 Reg. Imboden's Cav.," reading in part, "I received your ever welcome letter this morning….there was a scout of yankies went up to Romney Saturday and come back yesterday…you thought you would not come back home until the war was over…I would want you to stay if I thought you would not get killed or die…what would I give to see you this evening…" Some minor chipping to the cover, overall very good.
