A complete and authentic issue of Harper’s Weekly, May 31, 1862, 16pp., disbound, VG. Nice front page engraving, “BALLOON VIEW OF THE ATTACK ON FORT DARLING, IN THE JAMES RIVER, BY COMMANDER ROGERS'S GUN-BOAT FLOTILLA, "GALENA," "MONITOR." Then an interior full page engraving, “NAVAL COMBAT OFF FORT WRIGHT, IN THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER, MAY 8, 1862.” Another full page, “MOBILE AND ITS DEFENSES, ETC..” Four pages have “thumb” paper loss in margin, else VG.
