A good war-date Union hospital document, 2pp. large folio, being a "Morning Report of Sick and Wounded in the McClellan USA General Hospital, at Phila. Pa., Ward 17…Aug. 6 & 7, 1864," numerical listing shows that there were a total of 22 sick and 32 wounded housed at the hospital at that time. The August 7th accounting shows that the ward lost one wounded soldier, Drummer George F. Kesler, Co. K, 11th Mass. Vols. who was transferred out on the 6th. The soldiers listed by name represent the 114th Penn. Vols. (Collis Zouaves); 72nd Penn. Vols. (Baxter's Zouaves); 69th Penn. Vols.; 150th Penn. Vols. (Second Bucktails); and the 121st Penn. Vols. Signed and made official by Acting Asst. Surgeon Richard A. Cleemann. VG
