Broadside, "Campbell vs. Morey, and the Gray Against the Blue," one page, 6" x 16 ¾", Butler County, Ohio, 1882 or 1883, a transcribed interrogation of Christopher H. Moore, one-time 12 year-old Union drummer boy. Campbell, a candidate for office, tried to discredit Moore's vote for his opponent Henry L. Morey. The published questions and answers reveal much about Moore's experiences at war's end, including his being an eye-witness to Lee's surrender and a participant in the Grand Review. Very fine condition.
