Marion County resident William Brady served with Ohio Infantry during the Civil War and might have lived to witness Pearl Harbor had he not died shortly after a car accident some three years earlier. He did manage to attend the 75th Anniversary reunion at Gettysburg in 1938 and received this small Confederate banner from Joshua P. Melton of Richmond, Virginia. Included is a penciled note by Brady regarding the flag…plus; a 1920 snapshot of veterans, one of whom is Brady…plus; a Gettysburg souvenir pinback with ribbon…plus; a Gettysburg 75th Anniversary medallion. All items very good or better.
