Consecutive issues of The Independent, New York, May 24 and May 31, 1860, both 8pp., folio, eye-witness accounts from "The Wigwam at Chicago" are placed prominently on the front pages and describe in detail the proceedings that led to Abraham Lincoln's nomination for President. A few minor stains, sound and stable paper, very good condition.
