A 10-1/2’ x 12” photo of Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima with “PEACE” composed into the image. The single column report begins “Japan has surrendered unconditionally, President Truman announced at midnight last night. Gen. Douglas MacArthur has been named Supreme Allied Commander to receive the formal surrender ....”
