A good collection of three, ca. 1840, flint glass dishes depicting the portrait of Henry Clay surrounded by geometric designs and his name. No doubt produced during his several failed presidential bids during the 1840's. Each is approximately 3 1/2" in diameter with two being clear glass and one being deep blue. One chip effects one of the clear glass plates while the others are VG. Also included are two 4 1/2" diameter geometric design plates with minor chips, else VG.
