The National Union, by Charles Collins, Jr., (Philadelphia: Lee & Walker, 1851), 4pp. plus cover, small folio, illustrated with an engraving of the national capitol building encircled by chain links representing the various states and highlighted with gold ink, a facsimile of a note from Clay to the author reading, "Both the sentiments and the poetry are very good, and I yield, with pleasure to you desire to subscribe them to me." Cover disbound, light peripheral browning. Very good condition.
