Partially printed document, "Quarterly Return of Ordnance and Ordnance Stores," signed by Lt. Colonel H. A. Oakman, two pages, 19 ¼" x 10 ½", Roanoke Island, NC, October 1, 1865, an accounting of small arms ammunition distributed during the 3rd quarter. This Maryland-raised regiment was organized in early 1864 and assigned to the 9th Corps, Army of the Potomac. Its most notable campaigns were the operations around Petersburg and the capture of Fort Fisher. War's end found the 30th USCT in North Carolina, where it remained on garrison duty until December 1865. Small split on one fold, else fine condition.
