A great and very early war-date Georgia Quartermaster's letter, 1p. 4to., written by Quartermaster General John Jones, Augusta, [Ga.], April 28, 1861 to Augusta Arsenal store keeper Captain Frederick C. Humphreys, in full: " Please deliver to Capt. Beale eight boxes (one hundred & sixty muskets & bayonets) of the pattern of 1842 and I will give you a receipt in form before I leave the city…". VG
