Manuscript document, one page, 8" x 12 ½", "Head Quarters Army of Potomac, March 20, 1865," in part: "Until further orders no leaves will be given Officers, nor furloughs to soldiers except in the extreme cases specified in the first portion of paragraph 10 Special Orders…by Command of Maj. Genl. Meade." Signed by Lt. George W. Forrester, Assistant Adjutant General. Damp stains to right edge, very good condition.
