Book, “My Three Years with Eisehnower - The Personal Diary of Harry C. Butcher, USNR - Naval Aide to General Eisenhower, 1942 to 1945” New York, Simon and Schuster, 1946, 912p. original blue cloth boards. Inscribed the author to Sir Arthur Tedder and wife “To the Tedders with highest regard and pleasant memories Harry Butcher ‘Butch’ 1 April 1946.” Small loss at title page, else VG. Sir Arthur Tdder was a veteran of the Royal Flying Corps, and a successful lecturer at Cambridge during the interwar years. He later returned to active service, and was eventually made Chief Air Marshall of the Royal Air Force. He later served as Deputy Commander of SHAEF, and was second in teh command of Allied Forces, answering only to Eisenhower himself.
