Raynor HCA 2013-01
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 1/10/2013
Printed cotton, 8" on the fly, 11 ¾" on the hoist, circa 1876-1889, the canton having 39 stars in anticipation of Dakota Territory being admitted as a single state. Dakota was, of course, halved and the official national flag went from 38-stars to 40-stars upon admission of the two resulting states. Some fading, else fine condition. A rare example of the "flag that never was."
