Porcelin over cast iron spitton from the Western Atlantic Railroad, 5-1/2” tall with 9-1/2” top rim, green with gold trim, and “W. & A. R. R.” in grey. Very good condition. The Western and Atlantic line is famous because of the Andrews Raid (commonly referred to as the Great Locomotive Chase), which took place on the W&A during the American Civil War on the morning of April 12, 1862.
