Two complete and authentic issues of the Niles’ Weekly Register, March 17 and March 24, 1832, 16pp. each, disbound, VG. Both issues cover in depth the Georgia Cherokee Case known as “Samuel A. Worcester vs. the State Of Georgia.” The opinion is most famous for laying out the relationship between tribes and the state and federal governments, building the foundations of the doctrine of tribal sovereignty in the United States.
