We are listing a very few points of interest to include; January 19, 1878, 1/2 page engraving with report, “Departure of Colored Emigrants - Liberian Republic.”; February 2, 1878, front cover, “Wreck of a Moody and Sankey Excursion Train”; february 16, 1878, front cover, Scenes and Incidents of Convict Life at Sing Sing”; February 23, 1878, full page engraving “The Nez Perces Prisoners..”; March 23, 1878, center spread, Mardi Gras Streets of New Orleans”; April 20, 1878, front cover, The Latest Marvel - The Phonograph”; May 4, 1878, center spread, Map of North and South American trade routes”; July 27, 1878, front cover, A herd of Texas Long Horns Being Driven to Dodge City”; Oregon - Attack by the Umatilla Indians”; November 23, 1878, center spread, Castle Garden.” Of course there are dozens of New York City engravings.
