Mounted albumen photograph, 2-3/4” x 3-3/4,” on larger mount. The image is of a full standing prisoner, hands shackled to his waiste and chained to the sheriff. On the reverse, in period ink there is an identification, partially obliterated by glue residue. In part, “Casper Wyoming, Feb 4, 1909, Charley Meade who killed and xxxx A.J. Porter of Scott Co. Virginia Nove 24, 1906. Compliments of J.A. Shiffner, Sheriff, Casper Wyoming.” the mount is cracked just above the photo which is not affected.
