Booklet, “A LETTER TO GEORGE WASHINGTON, ON THE SUBJECT OF THE LATE TREATY CONCLUDED BETWEEN GREAT BRITAIN & THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, INCLUDING OTHER MATTERS” Paine, Thomas,: London. 1819. 36pp., later wrappers with mnuscript title. Leaves a bit tanned, else very good. Prints several letters critical of Washington's handling of political affairs, especially Jay's Treaty. Needless to say, Paine was no great admirer of Washington. The appendix contains Paine's "memorial to Mr. Monroe alluded to in the foregoing letter." SABIN 58228.
