Approved, March the third, 1791. Congressional printing of an act passed by the third session of the First Congress, the first session to be held in Philadelphia. The act provides for compensation to court officers, jurors, and witnesses for court attendance, miles traveled to court, and other contingencies. Signed in print by Speaker of the House Frederick Augustus Muhlenberg, John Adams, and George Washington. NAIP and OCLC together record only four copies, at the American Antiquarian Society, the New York Public Library, Yale, and the Library of Congress. Rare. EVANS 23862. NAIP w010234.
