Last Photograph of Gen. Grant, Four Days Before Death is imprinted along the lower edge of the mount, the verso carrying a Gilman, Mt. McGregor and Canajoharie, NY backmark with a July 22, 1885 copyright. Grant is shown reading a newspaper on his porch while a young African-American attendant peers out from the home's interior. Light soiling to the mount's back, very good condition overall.
