Convention Notes for Woman's Relief Corps, Cleveland Ohio, September 14, 1901, “Nineteenth Annual Convention of the National WRC Auxillary of the Grand Army of the Republic,” 19pp., VG. In part, “In view of the calamity to this country, which we trust has been averted ...” (President McKinley was shot September 6th and died while this convention was in mettings.” It continues, “...made a motion that a telegram of great sympathy be sent to our Beloved President’s Wife who is silently watching the hours of the life of her Husband in the City of Buffalo..” It then provides a transcript of the telegram.
