Oregon Stage Company, partially printed document, 3 ¼" x 8 ½", one page with verso endorsement, Salem, Oregon, March 1, 1867, the face carries a 2¢ tax stamp, recorded is a $22 payment received from H. M. Thatcher, Road Agent for "boarding hostler & Road Agt" for a month. The company's proprietor, Louis McLane, Jr., served with Fremont in California and remained in business on the West Coast until 1880. Browning to the receipt's edges, else very good condition.
