A group of FOUR real photo postcards of Pancho Villa and the Mexican Revolution. Includes, identified “General Francisco Villa” in the negative (same as Wikipedia image). The postcard was not mailed but does have a period description of Villa on the verso. ... plus, "Execution of 256 Men in Mexico," scribed in the negative The period description on the verso. “Taken during the last expedition into Mexico. This gives you a good idea of a Villistas necktie party.... plus, “Bodies of Gen. Rodriguez and Col. Baca-Valles,” scribed in the negative. ... plus, “Dead on the Battlefield” identified in the negative. Three of the RPC have photographers identification in the the negative of “W.H. Horne, El Paso, Tex.” The revolutionary Villa and his supporters seized hacienda land for distribution to peasants and soldiers. He robbed and commandeered trains, and, like the other revolutionary generals, printed fiat money to pay for his cause. Villa's men and supporters became known as Villistas during the revolution from 1910 to roughly 1920.
