A complete and authentic issue of The London Chronicle, August 16-18, 1768, 8pp., disbound, VG. From the interior, a 1-1/2 column letter from Michillimackinac (now Michigan), February 24, 1768, in very small part, “ …an express arrived from general Gage with orders to confine him as a Traitor and for High Treason. He was accordingly seized …” Then, also from the interior, “Queries Recommended to the Consideration of those Gentle men who are for vigorous Measures with the Americans,” provides a seven point argument against the Townsend acts. In small part, “…Has not the Parliament, by repealing the Stamp Act, acknowledged that they judged it improper? …The late war could not have been carried on without America … Would it not have been better policy, instead of taxing our Colonists, to have done whatever we could to enrich them to encourage them to take of our articles of luxury … “
