Lot of 3 documents pertaining to a 1768 land dispute between one Adam Yates and the City of Albany, New York. Includes: Manuscript Document, 2 1/2 pages, quarto, June 1, 1768, Albany, New York. A arbitration board examines a boundary problem that arose when Yates "...on the north side of foxes Creek...last year begun to erect a house...". A settlement was reached under the direction of the document's signatories: Philip Schuyler, Hermanus Wendell and Johna Beekman. Aging and small splits along folds, else VG condition...Plus; Manuscript document, 3 pages, quarto, July 1, 1768, Albany, New York. Also signed by Schuyler, Wendell, and Beekman, this paper further explains the board's decision. Splits along folds with archival tape repair. Good condition...Plus; Manuscript document, one page with docketing, 14" x 18", October 8, 1768, Albany, New York. Signed by Volkert Douw, Mayor of Albany, this deed conveys the land formerly in question to Adam Yates. Some paper loss from seal breakage and splits having old archival tape repairs. Overall Good condition.
