Newspaper, THE LONDON CHRONICLE, 6 pages, quarto, November 25 - November 28, 1775, London, England. European affairs and local advertising dominate this newspaper, however it contains a news item from revolutionary America that reads as follows: "...An evening paper says, there are private letters in town which mention, that General Washington, from reconnoitering the lines of General Burgoyne, had found out a part where they could be forced; That accordingly he marched silently in the night, made his attack, and committed a great slaughter, before the Regulars could recover themselves. We do not hear that this has been any way decisive, other than the loss of so many men on the side of Government, and that it marks the activity and vigilance of the American General...". An important dispatch from the early days of the war. Toned paper, overall a clean Fine condition.
