Revolutionary War Era Silver Shoe Buckles, Lot of 2, Choice Very Fine. c. 1775, Attractive, oval shoe buckles, with inscribed floral designs and imprinted lines around the buckles' edges. 2.5" x 2". Touch marks "G G" and a lion stamped on underside of buckles: likely "Garret Greverat," (Albany 1768; Detroit, 1772-1783). Shiny, reflective sheen to surface of buckles. Undersides with gray and black patina. Attached teeth assembly with gray patina. A lovely set. (2 pieces)
