State of Massachusetts Bay Lottery ticket, Class the Third, 9-1/4”x6”, issued June 1, 1779, No. 2090, and reads in part: “For value received for the Use of the State of Massachusetts Bay I do in behalf of said State hereby promise and oblige myself and Successors in the Office of Treasurer to pay to the Possessor of this Note the Sum of Fifteen Pounds...” Signed by the Treasurer and two members of the Committee. Fine.
