August 1781, Resolutions of the "General Assembly of the Governor and Company of the State of Rhode-Island...," Providence, Printed by John Carter, Very Fine. 12.75" x 8" printed document, 43 pages. Light-brown toned pages, worn edges and corners, stitch binding, occasional foxing, and some paper reinforcement to the binding of pp. 2-3. Terrific paper seal on front page, and nice brown-inked signature by Henry Ward, secretary, on the final page. Contains a wide variety of bills and petitions related to the Revolutionary War, including the conduct of the governor in sending supplies to the army, confiscation of property and estates, arms for the militia, a list of persons who "did duty in the Alarm in August, A.D., 1780," quarters for French officers, payment in silver for militia, and more!
