1783 Commonwealth of Massachusetts, £23 18 Shillings, Anderson MA-34, Choice Extremely Fine. 6.75" x 7.5." A superb condition example for this type, hand dated 1782 and bearing a payment of 6% per Annum. There are six manuscript interest endorsements and a small hole cancel, indicating that this bond was eventually redeemed. A lovely specimen, very difficult to find in finer condition. This bond illustrates how Massachusetts helped to finance the struggle for American Liberty.
