21" x 16," heavy, dark waterstain along the left side. This was a reprint done on the 100th anniversary of the April 19, 1775 battles at Lexington and Concord, in which American forces routed British regulars, effectively beginning the Revolutionary War. Printed on an earlier style of paper to mimic the real thing. Forty plain black coffins form the masthead; black borders of mourning surround contemporary accounts of the battles. Rare -- the next best thing to owning a real one, which would be prohibitively expensive!
