Two Parliamentary Acts of George II. 1. "An Act to Enable His Majesty to allow to the Residuary Legatees of Sir Joseph Jekyll Knight, late Master of the Rolls, deceased, Part of the Legacy given his Will to the Use of the Sinking Fund," 1747, 4 pages, 12" x 7.75", Extremely Fine. Rebound in lovely 1/2 leather and cloth boards. Jekyll was a friend of Oglethorpe and benefactor of Georgia, where Jekyll Island was named after him. 2. "An Act for granting to His Majesty a certain Sum of Money out of the Sinking Fund...," 1746, 17 pages, Extremely Fine. Disbound, with traces of the original binding still evident. Bound in a burgundy colored cloth slipcase. A nice pair of Acts from this ruler over early Colonial America. (2 items)
