The headlines proudly declare: "VICTORY!! VICTORY!!" Then a spread winged eagle which holds a ribbon in its beak reading "Grant. Victory." Finally the headlines continue: "Gen. Grant's Sun of Austerlitz! Lee Finds His Waterloo. SURRENDER OF THE REBEL ARMY!! Gen. Grant's Terms Accepted By Lee…". The front page then contains a full accounting of the events that transpired between Lee and Grant at Appomattox. Other headlines include "The Libby Prison…Castle Thunder Stands…President Lincoln and Lady in Richmond…Davis' Next Base of Operation…Lee's Confessions…". With much more interesting content included a wanted ad placed by a man who was willing to pay double for a substitute for one-year! Light stains, else VG
