1830 Will Bequeathing "My Negro Girl, Fanny." The last will and testament of Ambrose Tombs, written on April 16, 1830, bequeaths "to my beloved Son Henry Tombs my Negro girl Fanny by his paying back to the Estate all Except fifty dollars and then come for an Equal Share with the rest of my children...." Unevenly written but boldly signed by Tombs and three witnesses. The will was approved and recorded at the July Term, 1830 of the Lincoln County (Kentucky) court. 12" x 8"; folds, toning, and some soiling; otherwise, Fine.
